Let me start off by declaring my absolute love for comic books toys, video games, and movies. What started as a childhood fascination has snowballed into a complete cultural immersion. When I like something (and I mean really like), I tend to illustrate or create something to cement my love and passion for it. I look at it as if they're trophies, something I proudly want to declare and showcase to the world. 

 

So in between freelance gigs I have this uncontrollable desire to draw characters I love (which sprawl anywhere from video games, to movies, to television shows.) I draw them face on and mostly symmetrical, each with a separate rendered backdrop. I create the character and the background completely separately. Why? Because then it allows me to print both assets on different layers. I can then frame them on top of each other to create depth.

 

So these are my first 14 portraits! And i don't plan on stopping! Hope you enjoy them!
